EASY TO INSTALL... This was my first router installation, but it was easy! The router comes with short, easy-to-follow installation directions. It took me 10-minutes to open the box, read the directions, connect the hardware (it includes a power cord and a network cable), power-up my PC, boot into Windows XP and access the router through Internet Explorer. Netgear's interface is wonderful. Modifying security settings, an optional step, was a breeze. I never even looked at the CD that was included.


Once I read through the setup manual (a PDF file on the CD) i hooked everything up and was able to find my connection and log on first try. once online i went to the netgear setup website and changed the security settings for the network and was good to go. took about 20 minutes or so from start to finish. Overall, great. Read reviews.

This router, bought on 10/09/09, is v9 of the WGR614. It took 1 min. to connect, plug in and set up. Works well with my 2 laptops. And at $40 it is very affordable.

I bought this WGR614 Wireless G router due to getting tired of DSL. The install is so easy put the disk in and go thru their set up guide. connection is easy. was up and running in about 10 minutes. the Range is very good. I live in a old house 1941 and My wife needed to be able to use her laptop around the house with no cords! Now I have a PS3 downstairs that I needed wireless connectivity and was worried being I was in a basement down a level. well no problems when I scanned the range I got 95% better than my DSL service from before. Then next I have input some wireless G adapters that I needed for my computers so I can do some networking in the basement as well. connecting those was easy my range I got 73% which is honestly GREAT. Cannot go wrong with this G Router I would buy more if needed. Suggestion I would hook that Modem to a surge protector so it doesnt fry. Great PRICE Great BEST BUY.

I am very pleased with Netgear customer support. they are indeed wonderful. the router was installed witout any problem since the install wizard detects your ISP setting and leads you through the installation.the people who claimed had problem probably had problem with their ISP rather than the router since they could not configure, but the installation disc that comes with the router perfectly installs the router for you and within 10 minutes you are ready for your network. This router has a very good security features and also the range is great. i have not had any problem with the router and the customer service is great if you needed to ask a question.I highly recommend this product.
